On-Line Formats

We have two (2) online formats:

Virtual Classroom (Blackboard Collaborate)

Is a special web site where you login at the same time as other and have the ability to:

• listen to a specialist clinician facilitate the session
• speak with each other and the facilitators
• write on and see a lecture room whiteboard
• view the slides of the presentation

We call this a 'live' program.

Each live program is recorded and stored as an archive. The archive includes everything that was said and written during the 'live' presentation.

Best of all, with the virtual classroom, if you cannot login at the time of an arranged 'live' program, you simply access the archive.

Archive (Moodle)

This is another special web site where you login and access the archives of programs that have already been presented.

Although you will see who 'attended' the live session, you of course cannot speak with them, they have gone home!

Always have a pen and paper with you when listening to the archives, so you may stop the recording and jot down questions for the facilitator. You email these to our office at the completion of each presentation.

As a participant in our live or archived programs, we provide you with the objective for each program, to assist you with your learning plan, as is required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and also a Certificate of Attendance on receipt of your reflection forms

Computer requirements

Both Blackboard and Moodle work with most computers.
